I happened upon Thermography breast imaging on the Beach radio station and made my first appointment in October, 2017.
I had a large tumor in my left breast that I'd been playing around with mammograms for 3 years. Fortunately, I resolved the tumor and continued to use Thermography through Gaea Powell and I will never have a mammogram again!
Gaea was very concerned about me and I appreciate that. I really feel like seeing her was much better and more personal than other doctors.

I have been seeing Gaea for the past 6-7 years. After having had Mammograms, MRI’s, and biopsies for 30 years, I was just tired of being poked and prodded. I was done traumatizing my breasts! The Right Choice for My Breast Health
I first went to an appointment with Gaea in 2015 after inquiring with my doctor about an alternative to getting a mammogram.
-My first experience with a mammogram was nerve wracking because I had received a false positive diagnosis and the exam itself was cold, unpleasant and awkward.
-I was delighted when my doctor offered me Gaea’s office information to make an appointment with her. Upon meeting Gaea at her office I felt welcomed and completely comfortable.
-I was reassured by Gaea of the relatively simple Thermography procedure that I would be experiencing and also how I would receive the results. I can share that the thermogram procedure was straightforward and non invasive or uncomfortable.
-I felt a huge sense of relief that I had made the right choice for my breast health by having Gaea provide the thermography procedure.
-In 2015 I believed it to be a safe choice for me. Now, in 2026, I still believe it is the best and safest choice for me and Ishare Gaea’s insights, her website and office number with others.
-I feel that the thermography option for breast health and care is absolutely the way to go!

Kind and so Professional. Gaea will Dispel the Fear.
Gaea is someone who is both so kind and so professional; she cares about you and your body in managing your own health. She has a wholistic approach and is not judgy at all.
She makes you feel so comfortable that I have brought my own teenage daughters so they learn about breast health and how to track their bodies over time.
I’ve lived long enough to know that standards for testing can change drastically and women’s health has been understudied and often cavalierly aggressive testing has produced such fear. Thermography makes sense along with whatever else you feel comfortable with - galleri, mammograms, ultrasound, self exams etc.
My own doctor wrote me a scrip for ultrasound rather than mammogram and I can’t get local testing to do it without giving me a follow up mammogram- even after a doctor requests it.
For whatever reason thermography will make you more familiar with yourbody (and appreciate it!) and
